John had had his first stint at the Edinburgh Fringe as the Bear Guitarist and I had decided to go and see the show on the last weekend of the Fringe and it was great fun! I scrounged a lift back to London from Sandra and John. They were going via Sheffield to visit Batty, so that is when I met this really fun woman!! We had a really nice time (particularly as she talked me through the family photos) and, much to Sue and Sandra’s amusement, Batty never stopped talking about me! I feel really privileged to have met her and so flattered that she talked about me all the time and that I brightened up her day. Fond memories....
